Certainly a nice experience for a couple of nights in Kettering. Location just next door to the centre of town, bars and shops. Also, in a very central place. Units with a tv in the bedroom.

The interior was very rustic and charming, there was a kettle with enough tea and coffee. The restaurant in the house serves good home cooking and the pub is a great place to end the evening. The breakfast was British and good and the staff very friendly!
Unfortunately, the door of the room seemed to be quite insecure, because you could only pull it up and not lock it.

We were meeting relatives for a meal and the Hotel was just 5 minutes walk from the restaurant
We booked for bed and breakfast and when we arrived were told it was Continental only. My husband and I don't like salami etc. There was ham but it looked as though it had been in and out of the refrigerator for a week.I am diabetic so I should eat at regular times. I was offered my money back for breakfast (£5.50) so we ended up paying £20.00 plus for breakfast at a Little Chef. The room was clean although there was wallpaper hanging off the wall. The sister hotel just down the road was being refurbished so I imagine the Royal would be next

Good standard of rooms and staff were helpful and really friendly - especially on reception
Breakfast could do with a re-think. The only bread available was sliced bread but would be good to have a selection and some thought put into offering more choice in the other breakfast items. Packets of cereal were there but muesli and fresh fruit would be good rather than just opening a few tins of fruit. Good that tea and coffee were available rather than having to ask for them
